Welcome to GCal Wrapped (gcalwrapped.com). These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your access to and use of the GCal Wrapped service ("Service") provided by Simon Ilincev and Megan Yap ("we", "us", or "our").

By accessing or using the Service, you agree to be bound by these Terms and our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree with any part of these Terms, please do not use the Service.

1. Service Overview

GCal Wrapped is a free tool that allows you to:

Sign in using Google OAuth.
Analyze your Google Calendar events and organization directory metadata.
Generate personalized insights based on your calendar data.
Export and share your personalized "wrapped" summaries with others.
View, contribute to, and interact with the GCal Wrapped school leaderboard.

2. Eligibility

To use the Service, you must:

Be at least 13 years old.
Have a Google account with Calendar access enabled.
Comply with all applicable laws and regulations.

3. User Data and Privacy

By using the Service, you grant us read-only access to:

Your Google Calendar data (event metadata).
Your organization directory profile (e.g., school or workplace email domain).

We use this data solely to generate your personalized insights and to provide aggregate statistics (e.g., school leaderboards). We do not share your personal data with third parties without your consent. For more details, please refer to our Privacy Policy.

4. User Responsibilities

You agree not to:

Misuse the Service (e.g., unauthorized access, spamming).
Upload or generate content that violates laws or third-party rights.
Impersonate any person or entity or misrepresent your affiliation.

You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials and for all activities that occur under your account.

5. Content Ownership and Rights

You retain all rights to your calendar data. We do not claim ownership of your events or contact information.

By using the Service, you grant us a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free license to:

Analyze and transform your data into visual insights.
Store and display these insights to you.
Use anonymized, aggregate statistics for features like school leaderboards.

6. Data Export

We provide features that allow you to export and share your personalized "wrapped" summaries. By using these features, you acknowledge that any shared content is your responsibility, and you should ensure that sharing complies with your organization's policies and applicable laws.

7. Termination

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your access to the Service at our discretion, without notice, if you violate these Terms or if required by law.

The Service is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind. We do not guarantee the accuracy, reliability, or availability of the Service.
